Hi Lee,

Am going to be there damn early with my Pa.

I was at Mallory yesterday and all down the M1 the overhead warning signs were stating the fact that there was an event at Donington on 22-24 July and to expect delays. They're not wrong. It will be bedlam within a 10 mile radius of Donington on Sunday so be prepared.

Get there early as it will be busy...

Police take control of traffic so you're pretty much at their mercy as to which way you get sent (which is normally thru Donington village as they don't want the EM airport access road clogging up). Tis the same coming out so don't be surprised if your normal/planned exit route is kyboshed cos the police order you to go a certain way that suits them NOT U.

I've never had a problem with security (I take it you mean your neglected bike in the car parks), but I guess that's not to say it isn't an issue. You'd have to be unlucky as theirs thousands of bikes there to be nicked b4 yours. Take your best lock for your bike and lock it to a mate's bike if poss and you should be okay.

I would try and get/take one of those plastic sidestand plates to rest your stand on. If it's hot the tarmc can melt and if it's wet and you're on grass you could sink in. Either way a domino effect of 1000+ bikes on GP day would be disastrous for a few peeps.

Have fun...

Guy

Thanks Guy,

Hope my S4r can cope with the heat and i can if its meag hot in leathers that sunday

I was more worried about bits being nicked than the bike taken, i plan on using the meta larm/immobiliser and a squire disc lock.

More stuff gets nicked from the tents on the camp site.
Apparently last year the 'security' firm disapeared when the racing started and the pikey's moved in and took what they could.
Ive never had a problem with any of my bikes being tampered with at Donington.
BTW,we will be with the the riff-raff on the banking at the esses.
