Euro Trip/Tyre change
Hey up!

Going on a european jaunt in a few weeks and am unsure if i should bother changing the tyres prior to going.

Am planning on doing approx 2.5 - 3k on the trip and my current original set of diablo corsas have 2.5k on them without much sign of wear.

Now i hear of people nuking their tyres within 1500 miles and im definately not one of them . I dont ride stupidly fast, havent done any track days, and the tyres are seeming to wear very evenly:P
So should i change the sticky stuff before going? or should i risk making the entire trip or changing whilst away?

I have seen some good deals on conti attacks road/sport. should i consider these for a more touring biased trip? (as opposed to a track day fest)

valued opinions welcome.

I reckon you'll be fine, I'd go with the current set and change when out there if needed, you are also only likely to need a rear as most people cahnge the front with every other rear.

Its more than likely you'll need a new set on your return but thats how I'd do it.

I agree with Dibble (the GP star! ). You should have no trouble getting a new tyre while you're out there (if you need one). Seems a waste of money replacing them before you go if they've still got plenty of life left in them.

Pack a credit card and wait until the rear is shot.
