quick question
will the 748/916 etc carbon (or any) clutch cover fit a 749

My clutch cover is a modified 748 carbon cover ....

i take it that the cover bit is modified not the mounting holes

Duck, the main resistance your getting here is that although a carbon clutch cover looks nice, it offers no protection whatsoever to a right hand lowside fall.

The point is any drop will be expensive, with no protection over your clutch you run the extra risk of double the expense with untold damage to your clutch and beyond!

andyb thank you for pointing out the obvious (just pulling your chain)
i've learned most things i look at and think YES unfortunately tend to be expensive and impractical like 750cc underpowered sbk's (i'll just get my coat). not sure what you mean by resistance? i'm only asking because i'd seen a few clutch bits for the 748 series on ebay going cheaper than ones for the 749 series. if they're the same why pay more?
