torque setting for clutch spring bolt
need figure for the above 996 bip 2000,
looked at clutch after noticing the tangs on the plates had taken a right hammering after only being in since may, about 2000 miles old. Snapped clutch push rod properbly got something to do with this

What makes these snap.

Had a look in the Haynes manual and there is no figure listed.

Their instructions are, " Fit the clutch springs and install the collars and retaining bolts. Gradually tighten the bolts evenly in a criss-cross pattern until they are all securely tightened."

Not too tight. Just use an allen key, rather than a ratchet. They won't come undone.

Just tighten them down until they bottom and then nip them. It's about 6Nm or so. Next to nothing.
Copa-slip them before replacing them to make removal easier in the future

5Nm or 3.7 ft lb.

Nelly - clutch all fitted and looks the danglies.... nice one, cheers mate.
