I think it must have been fixed since last october... But anyway, it's a beta system, you use it just if you want to help them make it better.

I've used it for a while without problems, it is by invite only (I think) - I can send out some invites if required.

In the U.S. it's no longer invite only and you can sign up with your mobile phone - http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2005/...for-gmail.html

For the rest of us, it's still invite only just now.
