Lanzi gets Laconi\'s ride in WSB
Someone at work has just told me that Lanzi has been given the all clear to ride Laconi's 999 in Lauzist at the weekend.

I really rate this young gun, and it will be interesting to see how he does on the full factory jobbie.

Me thinks Ducati are grooming him for the future, or maybe next year, Bayliss old head with Lanzi the future?

What a team!

With Laconi injured its a great chance for the fella - lets see if he beats JT!! They could be fighting for the same place next year.

I reckon James is better under pressure. And James is top in the free practice this morning with Lanzi not that far away!!!

Saw Lanzi at Valencia in 2003 in the first World Superstock race on the 999, left everyone for dead (and that was a 999S) including all the GSXR Thou boys, since then I've been keeping an eye on this fella.

He is however a factory rider already, and I'd say without a shadow of a doubt will be on one of the full factory bikes either next year or 2007 depending if Bayliss makes his return
