Rattler\'s quick Brands report
Rattler's quick Brands report......

A quick(ish) report of DD races 8 and 9 at Brands from a Rattler perspective.......

Pre Qualifying
- mood - buoyant
- practice - lots
- plan - focus, focus, focus
- weather - mostly moist
- health - aching
- deep - heat - arghhh!!!
- scrutineering - thorough (3rd time lucky)!!!
- fatigued - yep, as usual
- approach - 3 gentle laps then nail it!!
- bike #21 - warmed and ready
- visor - clear
- vison - unclear
- action - get plan, execute on!!

Qualifying
- mood - ready!
- plan - got one
- riding - well
- pace - building
- Qualified 5th!!!! - fantastic
- Weather - damp in the air
- Paddock - scary!!!
- Health - RedBulled up!!!
- Bike 21 - gorgeous
- action - get better start

Race 1
- mood - pensive
- health - who cares!!!
- plan - get best finish of year
- approach - be brave!!!
- start - poor (again!!)
- conditions - fair
- approach - spirited
- riding - aggressively
- finish - 5th!! Best of year - I could've cried!!
- battled - with Ali great until he's out with a bang!
- performance - great, very happy
- action, get food and painkillers!!

Race 2
- mood - expectant
- approach - get decent start
- health - still high on adrenaline
- plan - match race one result
- start - poor (again!!!!)
- pace - tried really hard
- battling - with Nick - great tussle!
- finish - 8th, not ideal, but OK
- overall - would've taken an 8th before the day

Summary
My best performance of the year.
Matched my best qualifying and best race result.

My provisional table place is now 7th (up from 11th), on target for a planned top ten finish to the year - bring on Cadwell. Can I squeeze past Nick ????

Don't really know Cadders, so expectations are low, but bring it on!!!!

Crappy weather, but superb DSC support as always - really fantastic, many thanx to all who supported in the rain, its very much appreciated.

Ali - shame about the engine, TP - ouch!!. (and that's just 'cause of the £40 you now owe me!!!

To Alan, many thanks for the help getting me through Scutineering - they are thorough buggers!!!

The DSC camaraderie is just awesome.

Tim

Well done Tim, you're getting up the sharp end at last (unlike me).

Just you wait, there will be a queue of BSB teams at Cadders for your autograph :P

Seriously well done though, it's been coming all year.

Good ride (ya bastid)

I think you're neglecting to tell everyone that after you found out I was doing 56's last Monday night you pulled out of the betting! You big poof!

You can have the £10 I owe you for Donny.
