Unfortunately nothing you can do. Someone out in the internet world is sending out spam messages and forging the details to make them appear as if they were you - hence yuo get the hassle of the 'delivery failures' and aggravated people.

It's extremely unlikely that the emails are going anywhere near your NTL mail system, so there's nothing they can do either.

Usually after a day or two the emails tend to die down and then stop - but it probably won't be the last time it happens

I usually get about one 'attack' a month from one of my business email addresses - it's just a pain to deal with it....

Could also be spyware on your PC Paul. Try running LavaSoft Ad-Aware and Spybot to clean up your PC.

More than like one of what has been said above, I'd go with someone else is spoofing your address though. Basically someone out there, a friend etc has you in their contacts and emails are being sent from what looks like you from there account, the NDR's (non-deliveries) are being returned to what it believes is the senders address - YOU.

A long shot would be to contact everyone you have regular emails to/from and ask them to uodate their AV definitions and scan their machines

after chatting to Eamonn last week, I have installed and run spybot and adaware and removed all the bits found. My main worry is that someone is tracking what we do. I have online banking and daren't use it at the mo which is a royal pain in the ass.

if its something which just happens, at least I know its fairly safe to continue as I was, eg buying things online.

Cheers
