Istanbul Qualifying Spoiler
Lets have a round of applause please for Vermin!

11th, ahead of 4 times 250cc world champion and 18 times world whingeing champion Biaggi.

Rookie on the customer bike qualifies ahead of the ex world champ on the full HRC machine! Ho ho !!! I'm wetting myself laughing here.

I think he has done a better job than Shakey without all of Shakey's previous MotoGP experience. I know it's not Sunday yet but he's also a lot closer to the polesitter's time than Shakey managed.

Interestingly, Keith, Julian and Randy were saying that Vermuelen has turned down his Ten Kate ride in WSB next year! I think Sito Pons likes him but will we see him in yellow next year? Suzuki? I never thought he'd turn his back on the Honda support at this stage - could be a bad move?

An interesting comparison ...
Shakey

Malaysia
Q - 18th, 4.7 seconds behind pole, 3.5 seconds behind Barros
Race - 14th - 1 minute and 19.1 seconds behind race winner. 1 minute and 1 second behind Barros who finished 8th

Qatar
Q - 17th, 3.1 seconds behind pole, 1 second behind Barros
Race - 13th - 1 minute and 4.8 seconds behind race winner. 23.1 seconds behind Barros who finished 9th

Never qualified ahead of a Honda, let alone Biaggi!

Vermin

Australia
Q - 13th, 1.8 seconds behind pole, 0.9 seconds behind Barros
Race - 11th, 50.8 seconds behind race winner. Barros crashed out.

Istanbul
Q - 11th, 1.8 seconds behind pole, 0.5 seconds behind Barros. Not the last Honda!! Biaggi qualified in 12th!

Considering Shakey's experience in the GP paddock riding on these tyres with more horsepower than Vermin you'd have to say that Vermin has done a much better job - IMO.

The boys going great so far. Honda will be pi$$ed when they lose him to Suzuki

He's defo got to stay in GP's now. WSB would be a BIG step back.

What IS Max doing?
One of the most experienced, smoothest and most stylish riders out there and he gets trounced by someone who's only just sat on the bike!

Apparently there's a conspiracy theory on the rounds!
