Testastretta into a 748sps frame ?
Would it fit ?

I was told it would go into a 748r as it has the larger throttle bodies and wiring to suit the testa engine. The frame cross brace is in a different postion to the standard 748 which will allow the testa engine to fit .... have no idea about the SPS.

Guess this doesn't really help ....... I'll get my coat

for the SPS you would need to move the cross brace and do something about the different size mounting bolts. Then sort the Rad, oil cooler, coil mounts, exhaust headers andf a few more minor problems.

I just knew there would be something complicated
There's a bloke near me with a 999 engine on ebay, and it got me thinking
But it sounds as if it'd be cheaper to buy a whole one and just change the fairing and tank
