Heated grips/gloves

heated grips verses gloves
Does anyone have experience of either or use of both as I need to keep the pinkies warm this winter as the long range WFC is Bloooooody cold for jan/march.
ease of use a priority.

There was a very similar thread on this subject in the last 4 weeks if you do a search.

Heated inner gloves are more effective than heated grips, but more ag with the wireing when getting on and off the bike.

I use a heated waistcoat, which keeps the body core warm, and the blood pumped to fingers and toes stays warmer, it really works. Then use silk inner gloves inside Hein gericke Pathan gloves (the 2 fingered lobster claw type gove, and handguards keep a lot of the cold air of hands. Works for me.

Those lobster claw Pathon gloves have been very good for my son if you can get used to them.
I had heated grips but found the tops of my hands got cold still.

In a recent test of over 20 "Winter" gloves i.e thermal and waterproof - the best pair (WARMEST) by far was a product by the manufacturer POLO called "Reusch Arctis". I am not sure if you can buy them in the UK. They cost Euro 49.95 and beat gloves costing over 100Euro! Note: they are not "heated gloves".

I love my heated grips, combined with the handguards my hands keep lovely and toasty warm, until we stop for a cuppa, then my toes get cold
