748RS vs. 749R

which one??

I'm after a new/used Ducati to race in supersport..
I've already got the 999 for superbike..

Talked to protwins today, they have two 748RS onhand..
brand new 14000£
one used for two races 9500£

i can see the benefits in buying the 749R.
most of the parts (chrashing) i can use with my 999..

Help please..

Any ideas on service cost aswell??+

Mood: Finally gotten over the 748R getting stolen thing. Actually, no i haven't !
The New,Plain black carbon clad 748rs Has been there for 3 years to my knowledge. I would factor in a strip down of the engine, perhaps you were going to do that anyway before racing it.

The bike would be stripped down before racing anyway..
But not to sure which one to pick.

Are we talking Bristish supersport series here?

If so, you'll need the power of the 'Stretta. 749R gets my vote.

Danish cmapionship, and nordic...

My mind says 749R, but it could be fun to have an RS in the garage later on.
Maybe in the office..

Fun is one thing, success in racing is another. If I was going racing, I'd want the best results possible. In that case, I'd need a 749R.
