Changed batteries, exercised mind-control, did ceremonial dance etc....nothing doing. I keep hoping there's something I didn' do or maybe missed summat in the opins, but I fear not.

you sure you've set it up correctly via the base of the Dalek?? tried extending the antenna?

Could be worse....I got TWO FURBIES!!!!...my family must hate me!!! they are at this moment, talking to each other on the frigging carpet!!!....am thinking of attaching them both to lighted fireworks!!
