dyno time
how long should it take and how much should i expect to pay to have my power commander set up on my bike,i have had quotes of £240. when i was into cars it took an hour and cost me £45 to have my old 309 set up properly on a rolling road and it ran sweet as a nut afterwards. i am prepared to travel a distance if someone can recommend a decent guy at a decent price

Have a day out up to jhp..........I guess what youve been quoted for is a full unique map done on your bike with a lot of power runs.

If its a reasonably std bike ie just termis /air filter etc i recon there will be one at jhp near enough good enough for what you want, im guessing £60 ish...might be wrong!

you could go to JHP, but no real need, just call Moto Rapido www.motorapido.co.uk and speak to Wilf, a good friend of the DSC, they are only in Winchester ..... J9 M3

my local dealer has quoted 180 and 5 hours time but im not too sure about them. i was hoping to find somewhere in the southwest that might be able to do it, was more concerned about the prices been quoted to me, feel as though as theres no competition its rip off southwest bikers as per normal

dibble thanks for the suggestion but dont want to ride it that far to get the pc111 setup

Or call Tim Radley at Race Developments in Gloucester, he'll do it at a reasonable price I should think. Know's what he's doing too.

true. there are a lot of people out there with dyno's but very few imho who really know what they are doing. its definitely worth spending the time and money to get it done properly. its not much use to you being where you are but jhp are superb. maybe tie getting it set up by them in with a trackday if you are going to do somewhere like silverstone, donington, rockingham not on there doorstep but you could make a couple of days out of the trip and test it on track too

cheers guys

i think the prices i was quoted frightened me a bit, i'll ring jhp and motorapido and see what they quote, it needs to be done and done properly. i was expecting quotes similair to what andy had quoted earlier on in the thread

my local dealer quoted £45 just for a dyno run with no tuning included
