Won't Start..

My 996S hadn't been started up for a couple of months so I tried yesterday and...nothing! On hitting the ignition all I get is a click. No pump whirring, nada. I checked all the obvious; battery fine, sidestand, immobiliser, kill switch.
I recently had to disconnect all the wires to the instrument cluster to fit one of those carbon clock surrounds, so I thought I might have dislodged something or made wrong connections somewhere when I put it all back together again, but on rechecking today I can't see anything untoward..I want to hear my bike sing..Help me

Check the starter relay switch ,located on the right hand side of the battery, circular switch with just two wires passing through. I all ways thought though the fuel pump should prime first though. If the battery is not passing enough Ommmph through to the starter motor even if you have 12 volts on the gauge it could still be the battery knackered. 4D

I've rechecked the battery and it's fine. I can hear the starter relay click when I hit the button, but then the fuel pump dosen't make it's whirring noise. I've also rechecked the fuses and they are good..

just a quick thought have you put your side stand up ?? may be the switch on that ??

Worth checking the Engine Managment (Fuel injection/ignition system) fuses. Underneath the seat cowl in front of or to one side of the ECU.

Tinkler, it's got an override for the sidestand cutout, but I tried with the stand up just in case and got nothing.
Thanks Fordie but I've also checked the engine management fuses under the seat cowling.
I was planning to get the bike up to Nelly to get the clutch sorted but now I can't even get the

started!?!?
