seat covers...
Hi there
Any of you guys got a pic of the ducati pillion seat cover fitted on the bike? There are 2 in the parts catalogue and it's the smaller one that just replaces the pad that I was thinking of not the larger piece that fits over it [moto GP one I think?!]
Any pics would be a great help...
Hamish

Mood: Sparks will fly. If it keeps on
I think your on about the ones that fly off the bike. Ducati i don't think sell them anymore due to problems with them. I had one for about ten mins then it took off rearwards towards a car window. Me not knowing it had gone and the car driver trying to catch me up to tell me. I thought it was some kid playing let race the bike so i gave it a good handfull. Slowing down after laughing to myself, he pulled along side and said that something just took off from my bike. On my return i found the rear seat hump £168 in a worst of wear condition. Got my money back from Ducati. went mono in the end.

Thanks guys. Still thinking of going mono as the best option but it ain't cheap... JHP have a Moto Corse rear subframe which might be worth a look but not sure what plastic bits go with it yet. Apparently have to speak to Dave there who knows these things!

I have just ordered this one: http://www.kaemna.com/cms_en/katalog...=seite&seite=1
-- in red/white

Carbonworld told me they have no painted items in stock, but Kaemna do -- lead time 3 weeks...

Steve...The item you have bought is indicated as only being for a 999. I have a 749s biposto and wondered why that cover would not fit my bike? I was not aware of any differences to the seat?

Keefy...Thx for that. I thought that they were identical but the advert got me thinking there was perhaps something that I was not aware of.
BTW if it makes you boys feel better,it's damn cold here in Spain and we have been having rain!

Agree, it will fit. They also mentioned something about it fitting "new" 999BPs, which got me worried that on the newer ones the bodywork was different (I have an '02 999), but again I'm pretty sure we're safe...
