If you\'re going to Ally Pally this weekend...
Do me a favour...

Can you check out whether any clothing stands have got a red Roof R020 lid and at what sort of price?

I've looked at the Roof distributors dealer list and tried to cross match it with the list of Ally Pally dealer stands from MCN, but it's doing my head in...especially because some dealers who are listed as Roof dealers on the Roof website don't seem to list Roof lids on their own websites

So if they've got 'em at Ally Pally and they're doing good deals on 'em, I'll go sometime next week. If not, I doubt if I can be arsed to drag myself to the show

There were Roof lids there last year. I tried one on. But they didn't have much stock and I think they were at usual RRP. Do you know what size you are? Why don't you see if Graham at GLF can get you one? He got my Schuberth, and gave me a handsome discount (but that's cos I'm staff)

Mission Motorcycles in Bletchley are Roof dealers (apparently) and I've got to go to MK this afternoon, so I may just cut the crap and buy one at RRP - after all, there's nothing much else at Ally Pally that I'd bother to go for and by the time I've paid to get down there and paid to get in it probably wouldn't be much of a bargain would it?

Jools, I'm going Monday morning (when it opens) and I'll have a look for you. I'm thinking of replacing my helmet as well.

U2U me a contact number as if I see anything you want I might be able to reserve it for you to collect later

Thanks mate but the deed is done...I seem to remember that the R020's were going for around £240 at the NEC. I got mine locally yesterday for £270...bit more pricey, but once you take away the cost of the train to Ally Pally and the entrance ticket there ain't much in it. Not enough to drag my sorry ass down to Ally Pally for anyhow.

Well we had a cracking day.
Bought a few little bits and a Minichamps McCoy 999 model.Marko bought a carbon hugger for the 'S'.
We had a drool over the Monster S4RS and the new Morini's.
Talking of drooling,...we kept getting distracted from the bikes by scantily clad ladies.....
Couple of pints rounded up a good day.

BTW,best price for the Roof,.........wait for it,.............£190!

I think that 190 was around the price at the NEC for the RO10, the RO20 was a bit pricier.

If it was the RO20 at 190, what can I say but bugger......

Still, I'm a rich man, I can afford it.......NOT

Good to see you and Marko had fun. Those scantily clad ladies will catch their deaths though Still, I've been in bed with a bug since Friday and I always wrap up warmly
