Front Brake M/C probs!
After putting the brakes back on the bike at the weekend, i cant get them to feel anywere near as firm and responsive as my road bike running virtually the same set up, 4 pad calipers, 2 feeds, and the late style M/C. After bleeding thru and not getting any were near the feel they should have i cable tied the lever back to try and force air to the top, but have noticed there is a slight leek at all 3 bleed nipples.
Is the M/C shagged, is there a rebuild kit available? Im going to try new stainless bleed nipples first! But if theres no joy and no rebuild kit available it looks as tho it may have to be a radial that takes its place!

chris, that doe's not sound rite mate? have you checked the "seats" on the bleed nips ?
have you had them out?
are they all the same?

Not yet mav but will do as was thinkin a similar thing, previous muppet may well hav crushed the bottom of the bleed nipples!

time for the voice of madness...but....mine is very different if I have the span adjuster so its to close to the bar - have a play with that??

Radial wont help weeping nipples

Best to try to swap the nipples and see how it goes.

IF you do a search on bleeding clutches theres a tip for top bleeding at the top banjo.

If you get no joy changing the nipples and re bleeding gis a shout and I will go through it with you.

One thing to check though is the crush washers, any weeps there?

Take the nipples out and clean up/check. refit them with a bit of ptfe tape on the threads. check the banjos are tight. Also check they are not too long. Many are............. they tighten up, but are bottoming not sealing on the washers.
Bleed them up as normal but don't forget to bleed the m/c to.
tie the lever over night if required.
There's no rebuild kit for the road equipment i'm afraid.
