Who will buy a 999 now !
With the feature in the MCN last week saying that Ducati are to bring out a new design 999 to make it more acceptable to the fans of the 916, and possibly house the new 1200 motor.
Who on earth is going to buy all the old 999's still in the dealers.
Certainly not me !
Bet that little gem pleased all the Ducati dealers.
Put me down for the new one please.

I know where you're coming from Andy, however a dealer who knows I am looking for a new bike spoke to me today, When I explained that it was not worth buying one due to the article he agreed and said that it would be more like October 2006 than 2007
I did also promise to order it

Kev ...
... thats just Ducati. You buy a SPS and next year its a 996S, you pay through the nose for a 996R and next year its a 998S. Buy an 04 999S only to find the 05 999BP is quicker!God knows how all those folk who paid full whack for a 2003 999R must feel ....

Best buy second hand I've decided. But then I have had some practice

I hope the factory listened to me about fitting nice 916 style cans & seat to the 999 and also the 916 top fairing.
