Ebay...Private feedback EH ?????
Cant quite get my head around this topic...I thought Ebay was 'built' around the concept of feedback ratings from buyers and sellers....so here is an interesting story with a Ducati theme.

I posted a link on here a little while back for a guy selling quite a few SS bits and bobs - main pic and description was of various small items - headlight shroud, rear caliper bracket, cables, etc etc - but it also turns out and decent looking tank and a pair of side-panels were shown on other pictures.

So - fair enough - the guy made a mistake and has now posted the side panels seperately for a not unreasonable £50 on a buy it now...but I've just seen (and never noticed this being done before) - but his feedback is PRIVATE!

I cant understand why Ebay even allow this option - as mentioned before isnt it the basis of how well users are perceived on the site???

Best of it is - the guys feedback breakdown for the last year is still shown and it actually looks pretty reasonable.

Here is the link to the side panels (if anyone wants to bid on them).

900SS SIDE PANELS

Cheers - Frank

I can't understand it either frank!
I always check out the sellers feedback before buying, and steer clear of the 'private' feedback sellers... it just smells like they've got something to hide doesn't it?

Yep - steer clear of them I reckon. Stupid bloody idea!

E-bay is rapidly descending into a complete farce!

As long as Ebay get their money they couldn't care less so they will allow sellers to hide feedback simply to keep their business.

Like has already been said, i wouldn't buy something from such a seller. I also don't bid on items where the seller adds on a percentage to cover paypal charges
