Fitting fairings
I have a chance to buy a set of fairings from a 748R but will it fit a 996R ?

Should do.
All the fairings are interchangeable.

As long as they are the later 748R fairings (without the large vents at the top of the sides) they'll be fine.

Otherwise the inner part of the vents will foul the coils. The coils can be moved, but seems a bit too much hassle by my reckoning.

Those in the picture will foul the coils on a 996r, it is possible to cut them so they don't. personallY I would do that to orginal panels.

Genuine 2002 748r panels are the same smoth side design as per 996r 998, 998s, 998r or 998FE.

The material does vary from carbon to plastic, cut out for a belly pan depending on the model.

Ray.
