IT help on Xp
Yesterday had somesort of problem with a 'mirar' toolbar which added itself to my browser so used ad-aware to get rid

Problem now is i cant view thumbnails of pics only of mpegs and when i double click the pic doesnt open with the windows picture and fax viewer??

Is it a case of i have deleted it or its not activated? even if i right click and try to open with it, it does nothing

Go into system restore and restore it back to a point that you know was good

http://www.lavasoft.com - goto Ad Aware Personal and download. Run regularly to keep your PC clear of crap.

Have you tried restarting after using ad-aware and then possibly rescaning again afterwards?

It u right click the file u wish to view in the 'Open With' screen there is a check-box at the bottom with 'Make this my default for this type' or something to that effect - that needs to be checked so windows remembers the option.

Otherwise - search the net for 'mirar' someone might have sussed the problem out already.

Can it also be removed via 'add-remove' software and finally, try running spybot perhaps that has a resident to ask if system changes are allowed.

Good luck - Frank

I would still do a system restore
Go to:-

START then select PROGRAMS then select ACCESSORIES then select SYSTEM TOOLS then SYSTEM RESTORE at which point it will come up with RESTORE YOUR COMPUTER TO AN ERLIER POINT, click NEXT then select a date when you know your last config was good, then keep selecting next untill it has finished.

If you have loaded any other software on you WILL have to reload it.

Hope that helps

Don't know anything about lavasoft, sorry.
And the 0871 number will be premium, I had one a while ago and it was to some dodgy country about £60 in plain english

That sould be you fixed now.
Get broadband, I believe it can only dial one number
