After doing a search are they really worth it the magnesium wheels ? looks like you have to take alot more care of them ? For a person that does the odd track days its alot of money if Im not going to really USE them ?

Would have to say that mag wheels are "probably" a bit of a liability for road use. Although they are lighter, and in some ways stronger than ally, they are much softer and very prone to bending if you hit a kerb for example. I would also say they probably shouldn't be used when carrying a pillion.

deffo harder to paint from what I have found out. You have to be extremely caregul with the chromate (sp). I have a set that have been painted very badly and it's gonna cost a bit to get them done properly. It's probably not something I would do for mostly road riding tbh.

I'd say go for it, expensive to paint, but they'll transform the handling of the bike.
