900FE Tyres
Hello...

Okay, the bike failed its MOT because of the rear tyre being to low on tread...So I need to get a new set...

It has Bridgestones, but I am considering Michelins Pilots and Pirelli Diablos...

So my questions are;
where can I get a set new Welwyn Herts fitted?
And which of the 3 type do you all recommened for 900FE?

Thank for your input...

Diablos every time. Great tyres, as used on my 900 and 620.

Yes, they do! Ask for Steve or Kev and get a nice cuppa too!
Just had a set of Diablo's fitted to my 1000DS Strada.

Hey
pauls been converted from bridgestones

I'd vote for the diablos too btw.
And migs, dont get carried away and fit a big one sir, as the ss handles much better with a std profile rear.

Yup! Won't go near a pair of Michelins but after running BT010's I was disappointed with the wear from the BT014's on my 998 and I had so much fun on the DD bike with the regulation Diablo's (still on my original set from a year ago) and over winter with the 6000 miles I got out of the original Scorpions (same as Diablo's but different pattern) that I will be staying with Diablo's until the next bestest thing since the discontinued 010's comes along

I think we should just have an FAQ for the tyre question that says...

Diablos.

They seem to work well on every bike and after switching about between Bridgestone, Dunlop etc I'm now convinced that Diablo's are the best I've tried. Doesn't seem much point in gambling near enough £200 on trying another set of tyres that I might not like.

I've got ordinary Diablo's on my ST and when they're in reasonable condition I can ride as hard as I want on trackdays, even taking huge liberties with them like having to get on the brakes mid-corner when somebody has gone down in front of me. They just seem to stick whatever abuse you try and hand out.

Downside of them is that one day you'll go for a ride and take a look at your tyre before you go out and think "Blimey, that tyre is wearing well, got another 1000 miles in it that has" then it'll be shagged 200 miles later and WILL start to slide. They're a bit like a car where the fuel guage stays on full for ages then plummets to empty in the blink of an eye.

Now that I've got a T8 as well, I'm thinking of going either side of the standard Diablo and putting Diablo Stradas on the ST and Diablo Corse on the T8
