tomorrows tv?
done a job today for a chap, lots of modern tvs/pc's dotted around the house. got talking & he worked for phillips,in some way of the devolepment field etc. so i asked what next in the way of tv sets. he claimed hes seen a proto type of a tv thats rolls up! bit like a roller blind as he explained. he explained that this tv will replace your plasma/lcd wall hanging. also no wires (bout time). works wireless.

I have seen a handheld proto version designed for mobile phones, gaming etc. It rolls into a tube about the size of a cigar tube and pulls out to about 5 x 3 inches. Pretty cool.

It is a plastic lcd technology thats been in development for a couple of years but is still not viable for production. Last news I heard was that they can make small prototype sizes but not large ones.
