Ducati RED paint
ok guys

having bought a full fairing and seat unit from Mogwai I need to give it all coat of Ducati red paint.

Now its just going to be a quick blow over so can I get a colour match in the likes of Halfords ?

Also the main fairing is basic fiberglass in white do i need any special primers etc ?

any help would be greatfully recived

Halfords do Plastikote bright red which is a good enough colour match for a quick blowover from an aerosol...if you use the laquer as well it's quite a good finish.

I sprayed up a spare ST nosecone with it, just as a quick flash over to see how the colour compared, and it was a better match than a professional match from the paint factors using ppg paint codes (ducati's oem paint supplier)

If the Halfords Store you use can mix any paint code Ferrari Rosso Red is an exact match. Cost £10 a tin.

Halfords will also do Ducati Rosso (made up), use a red undercoat.

Halfords for me too I sprayed my front fender after puting in the vents great match

Also bought some touch paint from the guy on the Ducati site on ebay He charged £7.50 for a nail varnish size pot it didn't even match! steer well clear of him what a rip off

Can you U2U me that guys name as I need to buy some touch up paint and as I live in SWEDEN I thought Ebay is the easiest way to get some

The touch up paint is about a fiver from any Ducati dealer, give them a ring.
