Does anyone have...
...one of those small triangular plates that the external oil lines bolt to (on older 2V engines) knocking around in a box of spares?? I've a stripped thread on one of mine. I ordered a helicoil M10x1.0 tap and some coils...the coils have arrived but the tap is going to be another month or so. Bah!

Maybe I should just try and buy a new one. Anyone know if this part still listed as a spare? Does Nelly of Cornerspeed know?

Thanks
Pete

Zimbo,
I have a M10x1.5 helicoil tap you can use which is a standard size for the M10 helicoil, not sure about the 1.0 pitch helicoil tap you need. If you want to borrow this one I will post it to you and you could return by post when finished.
u2u me your address if you need it.
Or if you prefer you could send me the bracket that needs helicoiling and I would do it for you, foc.

Oh, FYI the tapping drill size for the M10 helicoil is 10.3mm

Zimbo

I had to order a 8 x 1.25 helicoil kit on Wednesday for the Pantah, it arrived 24 hrs later at my local tool shop in Sevenoaks. I am sure they can get you a 10 x 1.0 as I saw it on the list.

send me a U2U

Part number is 24710171A. Haven't got though i'm afraid. It's still listed on the parts list.
