999 Prices??
What should I be looking at for a 2004 999 bip standard with Ohlins front end?

I am after a 999 what would be my best bet/prices (private)? They seem to be all over the shop at the moment.

Parkers guide do a valuation online now on their site. I always think the prices they give are too high, certainly compared to bikes I have seen for sale.

I think Ducati prices have been taking a little bit of a hammering recently. I've been trying to sell my 999R, (after getting a 916 Strada to knock about on), so that I can fund some racing. Unfortunately I'm still yet to sell regardless how many times it's listed in the Biketrader or eBay, price is competitive compared to the other R's listed - but they're just too expensive to insure I guess. A friend of mine recently paid RRP for a 999 standard converted to Mono from Pro Twins darrn Sarrrth utilizing the 0% APR currently being offered. They were throwing in all sorts - free services, bag's of bit's and bob's, conversion to single seat with all sort's...

With Ohlins? You sure its not an 'S'?
You should be able to pick up a nice '04 bip for around 7k private. They are worth a little more if they have a Termi fitted.(+ standard can)

I remember a few dealer were selling 03 or 04 standard 999 but with Ohlins forks to clear their stock a year or so back. Was almost tempted myself.

Being a potential buyer of a 999 soon, its not any easier from my side , Ducati did some year end discounts last year to clear 04 model stock and i saw some at £8500ish. this means 2nd values suffer too. I'm after an 05/06 spec (same both year) and this makes me wonder what they'll do this year end? I.e buy now at £11K value at year end discount stock clearance @8.5k ouch... hmmm they not offering 0% for nowt . PS there are some lo miler ex demos available but they scare me as to how thrashed are they? (probably very!)
