There are loads of drummers with better technique than Bonham but virtually NONE that play with the same crunching power, passion and Heeeeooooooggggge bass drum sound

I've allways thought of Keith Moon as being possibly the best , due to his small scale kit he favoured, and the sound he produced, a sad loss as was Bonzo. Moon a nice bloke if a bit crazy, met him a couple of times when he partied at a friends house with Ollie Reed and Reed jnr.

Ahhhh....Kashmir!

Suddenly I'm 25 years younger, and very happy for seeing that.

One of the advantages of being a bald, lardy old git is that I got to see Led Zep live several times, and the Who, and Pink Floyd, early Genesis, Rush, Yes, Hawkwind etc...

People think of these bands as dinosaurs now and take the **** out of the arty farty lyrics and fairies at the bottom of my garden hippy-ness, and they've got a point...some of the second division wannabee bands of that era were cringeworthy.

But bands like Zeppelin at their best....Awesome
