Talking Manx DD GP?
The DD bikes are eligible for the Manx GP, albeit against 600cc/1000cc machines, but would anyone be interested in doing the Manx GP on a DD bike?

You'd get mullered, but its all about the craic isn't it?

Two weeks holiday racing around on public roads!

I started racing in 1997 with one thing in mind - the TT. I've never gone and now have a much stronger feeling of self preservation. If I was to do the Manx nowadays, I'd rather do it on something slow, can you imagine riding a superbike around there? No ta!

There are 3 classes you can race in, Newcomers (Monday), Junior (Wednesday) and Senior (Friday).

Your thoughts?

I'll just add, that a 65bhp DD bike must be able to crack 100mph, which is pretty damn respectible!

do you think a dd bike would go the distance...

think of the closing speed of a litre bike on a dd bike...

I love the place - would like to live there! I love the TT and manx, but it's the cruelest event in the world. best left alone, on any bike.
