Out of interest when parliamentary and local elections come round do you vote?

If you don't vote then in my book you have every right to have an opinion but no right to air it/discuss/argue it publicly.

To get something out you have to put something in.

btw the correct spelling for everyone is 'roundel'

Yep, and Everton is expressing himself in free speech.
That's the daft thing about freedom of speech - everyone's entitled to state their opinion, even if their opinion is that you shouldn't express yours!
