How many of you have had the coolant hose chomped through by the cooling fan on the radiator?

If you haven't, have you checked the hose on the left handside of the engine. It's the narrow hose that links the rear cylinder to the radiator. See if it is damaged by the fan.

Please post here if you have suffered the cooling hose failure or have found damage to the hose.

Had a service 6K on the 999 at Cornerspeed and Neil spotted this defect and replaced it.

I have a full set of 749R hoses that I removed when I fitted my Samco ones, if anyone has split one or needs one just let me know.

I checked my bike this eveing as yes, it's cosy in there (!) but my fan seems well clear of the pipe (whcih is undamaged) and any wiring is tucked up tight to the frame with a cable tie. It's an '04 749S.

I have fans on my s4 and never seen them move. Makes me wonder if they even work.
