.... just about how high the bike flew by my reckoning, before rebounding into the middle of the road
in several pieces

Fortunately, amongst all of the hedgerow, undergrowth, barbed wire and fence posts that the bike decided to dismantle itself against Gary found the one hole to fly through .....
