I used to work on RAF bases,....I'll tell ya,its an awe inspiring sight to see 20 or more Harriers parked up at the dispersals.

Absolutely fantastic photos.The two sites linked make intresting reading and give directions of where to view.Excellent bike roads area aswell.

Can anyone imagine the NOISE!

Many years ago i experienced a 2 plane pass similar to this by 2 RAF Tornados turning in from the Sound of Mull into Loch Aline in Scotland.I swear to this day that i had to look down into the cockpit and the second backseater waved at me.The funny thing was i only saw them coming because of a flash of sunlight of the canopy as they banked in at such low level.There was no sound until they had gone by.........Then all hell let loose.
