SS Questions - new style rear footrests + fitting a newer swingarm?
And the the longest tread title award goes to.....

OK - still fiddling with a pillion setup and Q1 is - can the later style (curved) pillion footrests be fitted to an earlier bike?
Specifically - what is the distance between the top mounting points please?

Next - 25mm rear axle wheel time.

Do the later SS/DS's have a 25mm axle fit and what are the chances that one could be fitted to an earlier ss?
Lost of chew even if I could find one but, I love the look of the newer swingarms and it would totally solve my rear Marchesini problem.
However, it looks as though the vertical shock mounting point on the swingarm is further back, eg its actually curved backwards on the new ones.....

A picture tells a million words.....

Cheers - Frank

NB - Thanks to arc for the new swingarm pic
