Good night and hasta manana...
Before I shut down for the evening, and before tomorrow rolls around and I say things that can't be taken back I'd just like to say how much I've loved being part of the wider DSC community since I returned to biking. I've learned so much in the last couple of years, technical tips, safer riding, faster racing and being part of some totally mental ride outs that would keep the feds busy for months!

I know the lines of 'loyalty' have recently been strained, and I know I haven't spent this year being as good a DSC member as I might have been, but the last few months have been a disaster for many and I've taken the decision that I'd rather not be part of any organisation that sees persecution of its members as its only method of survival. I truly hope that tomorrow runs well and that those currently in charge recognise that a club without active members is not one worth fighting to be head of, so i'll be driving for any resolution that keeps us together but only if it does so in a manner that allows the members an even say in all aspects of club and RC management.

I doubt that anything constructive that comes out of the meeting, especially anything contentious with regards to the MT, will be taken in to account, but I hope that 'the powers that be' will recognise that they are having a significant effect on the lives of all that pour large portions of their income and/or time into Ducatis, DD, the DSC and their local club connections. I often feel that the effort of all concerned is taken for granted in light of a few arguments had on the board, but I'd ask everyone turning up tomorrow to do their level best to present their views in the most objective manner possible, despite the obvious understanding that to be part of any Ducati club does automatically imply a certain amount of passion....

It's by no means impossible to salvage something from the current DSC wreckage, and I'm sure that if those who turn up for the meeting wish to do so, we can find a way to make the DSC and the DD better and to heal recent wounds with all concerned. None of us would've have joined the DSC if we didn't share a common passion, and it's that passion that we need to focus on if we're to stand a chance of staying together for another 12 months. I hope that all concerned, including the MT, can put aside personal issues and realise how much this is affecting everyone that's made the effort to be part of this debate and to push for something better for the future of DD and the DSC.

Sleep tight and see you on the 'morrow.

Ali

Exactly what I for one have in mind Ali. We wouldn't have even started DSC if we didn't have the same passion that you mention here. Time to sort it out as you'll find today.

Safe journey to all coming along to the meeting.
