ABBA Superbike lift 400kg
Has anyone on here got any experience of this product?I'm interested in buying one and would like to know the ins and outs of it.I'm thinking that the £115 price difference between this and the floor level Superbike stand make it worth paying the extra if only to save my poor back from the cold floor.

I have the standard ABBA lift and its brilliant on the 999, however you cant use the frount lift because of the plastic and I suspect the suberbike lift will be the same.
Depending on what Ducati you have could significantly limit the use of this lift and I would check this with Abba

Yeah,it does say that you need to remove the plastics, but TBH it's only a 2 min job so not really a problem.

I have now purchased the ABBA 400kg Superbike lift. After placing the order i received an e-mail from Steve at ABBA explaining that the stand was'nt a perfect fit for the 749/999,because there was nowhere for the front part of the lift to steady the fore and aft motion caused by most of the weight being held at the swingarm pivot. He also mentioned and sent me pictures of what a previous customer had done to enable it's usage with a 749/999 bike.Bit of a bodge, but i'll get my mate to fabricate a bracket out of tubular or box section steel.I know i could have got a ramp but i think it still needs a stand of some sort to change the wheels and it would take up too much space. What do you think?

I looked at the ABBA but eventually bought this. It's way better and even though I have a "proper" bench type bike lift, I'll not get rid of it cos it's so useful.

I know it looks precarious, but trust me it really is very stable.

Just a standard Ducati type battery for a 996S. Nothing special I can assure you, however it's not the original. Seem to recall that had a see thru bottom half.

The feet are wide enough spaced that with the weight of the bike bearing down through the support post, it's simply very stable. I have actually climbed up onto the bike while it's suspended up there, cos I wasn't convinced either!
