Magnesium cover - paint code?
Anyone found a paint code that matches the magnesium cam covers on Stretta engines? I realise this is probably an anodised finish, but there must be a close paint match somewhere surely? Need this to touch up the odd chip that doesn't require a complete refurb.

Just go to Halfords and check thru their swatch catalogue for the mix it service.

Please let me know if you have any success. I left my rocker cover with a paint supplier that also mixes paint to any colour and fills an aerosol for you. Got close with the colour but no where near on the finish.

It's a chromated finish which is not annodised or paint .... seems to be something in between.

Model paint such as suggested by Ian isn't a daft idea, some camouflage sandy yellow colours wont be far away and available in a matt type finish as well.

Ray.
