Ashes Test Number 2 - The Adelaide story ...
Who's gonna win this one?

I can't believe England left Panesar out ... but hey ho, Freddie won the toss and the wicket is a bloody road - should be a couple of BIG first innings totals.

Eng really need to bat the day out and score around the 350-400 mark ... to be honest I think that 500 will be necessary and bat until lunch tomorrow at least.

So, the series begins in earnest now. Has Harmison got the radar working? Will Strauss go the pull shot again Will Pietersen cash in on his prodigous talent? Will Freddie have to carry the load in bowling and let it affect his batting again? Will Ponting make is 10th century in 13 tests?

It's a good game coming up

Good luck England.

Come on AUSSIE!

Well this one didn't seem to draw much interest. I can't believe England threw away a win, oh well, I'm quite happy to be 2-0 up in the series.

So yes Paul James, I am enjoying the cricket are you?

I feel sorry for Collingwood and Hoggard.

Their terrifiic achievements in this match are now in danger of being largely forgotten, overtaken by the ineptitude of their team-mates.
Yes, Strauss was unlucky to be given out, as was Harmison, but these things even out over a series, and anyway I reckon the standard of umpiring has been generally pretty good. England totally failed to show the sort of positivity that Australia showed in their second innings, and paid the price.

No-one can say the Australians didn't deserve their win. When you have the best bowler in the world at one end, and Brett Lee steaming in at the other, you always have a chance, and clearly the Aussies had the self-belief to achieve this remarkable victory.

I fear that may be the closest England come to a win in this series.
