This is Nelly's answering service.
I'm sorry but I am unable to take your query on at the moment as me and Dukerob are currently blagging our way around the paddock at the WSBK at Magny Cours.
Normal service will be resumed when I sober up!
Please leave a massage after the beep

Thats the pic from the 998 engine manual, but is basically the same as the pic in the parts pdf on ducati.com

does the pic below give any clues, does the 998 use two spring plates, possibly in the position where the 2 are out of line in the pic, this pic is again from the engine manual (thanks to Totto) and is where I run the 2 spring plates in my slipper clutch on the race bike.

As you can see there are only four friction in the pisture. Now most have a round eight so its not a very good picture.
On my stm slipper i ran 4 dished plates. incidently jhp said you should run the dished ones in pairs seperated by a friction and in the shape as if you are cupping your hands together. One pair after the first 2mm, then the last at the very end but one friction and plain. after this you can put as many plain in to get your 4-5mm gap.

still doesnt answer my problem though.

im toying with the haynes set up for a sp.

bloody hell!!
