Guys is there any way to remove the bottom yoke etc so i can send my frame off for powdercoat without buying a yoke tool!

Top yoke is off no probs and I am about to remove the forks.

I got most things but forgot about this!

If needed has anyone got one I could borrow for a bit. (Somewhere near Beds?)

You can just pull the bottom yoke out with the steering stem complete as one unit once the top nut is undone

Or you can just undo the top yoke, and then the bottom yoke can be pulled out with the forks and all in one go...

The way to remove the top nut witout the tool is just to find a flat piece of bar (i used a steel rule) and it can locate in the slot in the nut, and then just twist. The nut should only just be done up...its torqued to a very low value (ie 20Nm) and then actually losened 1/4 of a turn. Its supposed to be just tight enough to hold the steering bearing together but not pressure them.

Yepp Take out the circlips that retain the pinch bolts on the head stock & then remove the 2 bolts behind them also remove the location bolt from the headstock the one by the top right frame tube, then with a soft hammer knock the excentric housing strait out.

if you dont have a bar the right size you could try placeing a couple of bolts or allen keys in the holes on the yoke nut and then levering between them with a screwdriver.

if your careful you can do this without damaging any of the yoke nut

Thanks guys! I'll give it a whirl in the morning! Too chilly now!

I assumed a steel bar or such like would undo the yoke nut but wanted to check it out!
