Come on guys...do your bit..doesn't matter if you ride off-road or not...not only are the government happy to ruin road riding...but now they are targeting off road aswell due to the narrow minded views of a few (voters!)...don't get me started.
Sorry guys gonna have to sit this one out. Reason being we have horses (as well as the bikes), and lost one (if a person, would have been death by dangerous driving) not that long ago, due to M/Cs 'exercising their rights' and causing a nasty accident.
Added my vote, the "sponsor" of this bill is my MP! Never asked my views did he? He's going to get them now....... Having said all that, if he's as successful in getting this through as he is at being a representative voice of his constituency then we havenothing to worry about! :P:P
Really sympathyse with your situation and the loss of your horse. Don't know the circumstances but any responsible trail rider should always stop if horse coming, or pass wide and very slowly and quietly if overtaking.
A surprising number of my local group have partners with horse's so know the situation.
Gotta say one real downside of termi's on Ducati's is the possibility of scaring horses on the road.
BDG, its always a few who let down the side for bikers - and horse riders too.
Where we are, it is mostly little herberts too young to even have a licence, with no insurance, just out for a 'charge' wherever they can. Whatever laws there are, your'e never going to stop them.
Unfortunately the 'green laners' round here neither have any respect too......
Don't want to upset anyone, but I think horses should stay off the road and limits on green lanes for any vehilce should be absolute max 30mph, even on long open straight bits.
Sorry to hear about your horse CK, but if this goes through bridleways and horses will be next, as they cause lots of environmental damage, as do fell walkers. Where do we stop?
