any one recomend any good websites for normal everyday parts

oil
filters
belts etc

as my local dealer is reasuringly expensive
even with the dsc 10%

Try spareshack, I think its www.spareshack.co.uk. Bought a 14T sprocket from them which was dealt with very effectively.
