Billet Slave cylinder
Seen several of these advertised! as my standard one has started to leak slightly thought i might splash out on a billet one I presume this would solve the leaky seal problem but how does it make clutch operation easier ???

Claims vary between 25% and 35% I think.
I measured a before and after on my own cylinder and lever pressure reduced from 10kg to about 7kg, using a spring balance.
There is a mechanical consideration to bear in mind in that because your master cylinder is still only displacing the same amount of fluid, you do lose some travel on the slave cylinder. ie you won't be pushing the push rod as far. Some of the cylinders claiming to be really light, could result in clutch drag??
There is another cheaper solution to the leaking piston, especially if you're happy or don't too much of a problem with a heavy lever. Replace it with an Evoluzione piston. These have an improved seal design and are a straight drop in mod.

Hi Nigel,

I have the Evoluzione model on my 748R. I opted for that one over any other because they offered a 10 year guarantee against the cylinder leaks.

I got mine direct from them in the states and have to say the service and after sales support (when I had a fitting query) was second to none.

Might be worth trying Nelly if you're interested as he has a fair bit of their stuff now

Last time Iwas there. I think Neil had an Evo cylinder in stock as well as his own " Cornerspeed " designed one.
