The hassle and expense of welding it and then having to repaint it means that its probably easier to buy another one.

Oh, by the way I have a really good condition one in black for sale....

The one in the photo is 'carby' SS and so is mine so sorry can't help.

I was just trying wind up Paynep really

....but I have got one for sale.
