import or uk
Hi There everyone,

I am looking at buying a 748 in the not too distant future and was wondering if anyone could answer me a question regarding one I have my eye on possibly.

If a bike is purchased in germany as a full uk spec bike, would it still be classed as an import for insurance purposes and the like? it appears as if the guy was based over there when he purchased it as a UK spec, but now resides back in the good old Uk.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

hmm bit of a puzzler this one ! it might be worth phoning Ducati uk or an import dealer (lots in biketrader) or even an insurance company Carole nash for instance ,
the fact it may end up being classed as an import should have no effect on insurance my 748 is an import and my insurers said it made no difference

Thanking you both very much for your help. It's good to know that my insurance premium would not be inflated if I went for an imported bike.

Apparently, the bike did come from the Superbike centre, so that is good news.
