Ducati S4 2002 Showa Adjustable Forks
I bought a set of Showa adjustable forks off of the 'bay from a 2002 S4 (apparently) for my red 620.

Can anyone give me a clue as to the "factory" base settings for compression and rebound and how to get to them!.......and if you have any settings for a short fat slow F*$&er like me?

...the man is a veritable mine! Cheers Kev.....thats a great start! I'm assuming compression is 1, preload is 2, and rebound is 3?

Think rebound is 1 and compression is 3. If these are sprung like my old SS1000 showas you'll likely need max preload to stop them bottoming out.

as Mac says
1=Rebound
3=Compression
2 = preload (which is just rideheight)

My S4 Monster forks are fitted with single rate 0.85kg/mm springs

Spring

Length 365mm
Wire dia. 5mm
Spring OD 38mm
No. of Free turns 20

Works out a 0.85kg/mm
or 8.5n/mm

Preload spacer 222mm
