The new dealer will be a valuable addition to the network fulfilling the demand for a Ducati presence in the area between Leicester, Peterborough and Northampton. Ducati will occupy a dedicated 3,000 sq ft showroom showcasing the full range of their motorcycles, apparel and accessories. Sycamore has an excellent local reputation and is owned and operated by a private, family-owned dealership group with over 75 years experience of motor retailing. The company turns over more than £80 million a year and has nine other franchises including BMW, Mazda, Vauxhall, Mini, Kia, Alfa Romeo, Volvo, Harley-Davidson and Buell. The new venture represents a significant investment during tough economic conditions. "Uppingham is ideal for a successful new Ducati dealership," says Chairman Peter Hamblin. "we have been operating in Uppingham since the 50’s and we are very proud to work with Ducati who share our values of excellent customer service and have a superbly designed product range of motorcycles, accessories and clothing.” Sycamore’s Ducati dealership also offers an experienced motorcycle workshop which will service and maintain Ducati’s high standards. “Our technical department has been trained in Italy at the factory, and we have also had extensive onsite training so the whole team is very excited to work with this well known and iconic brand." says Andrew Winham, Dealer Principal, who is also working on extending their motorcycle hire department to include the Ducati range.
