Anybody know the details and info on importing a bike from the US to UK?

Im looking to buy a 08 R6 frame which has a US Salvage title, is it just a case of filling in the relevant form and sending off to DVLA to register it over here???

I think you will find that it is not that simple any more. Before buying the frame, you should contact your local DVLA office and check the procedure that they require you to fllow.

It is very likely that they will want a letter from Yamaha confirming that it is in fact what you claim it to be and not stolen.

You may well find that the homolgation plates on the frame will not allow you to reguister it in the EEC.

An hours checking could save a lot of heart ache
