gearbox change?
early engines seem to more easily produce power. I think the only difference is primary ratio?? So is that just a gearbox change, i.e. source an early box and switch one for the other?

Primary drive is from the crank to the gear box and power output has nothing to do with the gearbox

thought I posted on this last night but its gone.....

so what needs to be swapped kev: it is possible? MAy go for a refresh over the winter (if I dont go A class route) so it would be apart anyway

Speaking to AK last week he could not, even with hours of dyno time and engine work, get more than just over 51 from a late motor where as a early one he did the simple stuff to and had 53 straight off

the quicker engines in the paddock all seem to be earlier ones too
